Lebara scores footballer George Weah in new campaign

In a bleak, cold January, African football bursting in a glory of colour across European TV screens is proving a lively diversion. Timed to coincide with the footballing festivities, our new campaign for Lebara Mobile is currently airing in 59 countries across the Eurosport network.

Far be it for us to beat our own drum, but we feel especially proud of the first work we’ve produced for Lebara. Shot on location in Johannesburg, the campaign – including 30” TV spot, six idents, interactive online ringtone generator and POS material – was produced in just six short weeks.

Inspired by a very African tradition of communication, the creative idea called for 300 drums, the legendary African footballer George Weah, and a very enthusiastic group of young African football fans. The resulting campaign brings the spirit of African football and Lebara’s exceptional international call deals to football fans across Europe, whatever the weather.
